I am always hearing from people who want to get into the Estate Sale industry and they want to know how it is done, where to start. They ask me to go to lunch with them for example. Or offer to work for me - that would be a silly way for me to help people. But I do love supporting people and seeing them reach their goals and I was just trying to think of ways I could do that. The area I serve has a lot of companies and it is competitive, I really am not scared of competition. I see a tremendous need for the services I provide all across the country. So I wanted to have a much larger reach than what I could accomplish at a local level and with face to face meetings.

According to a NY Times article on the estate sale industry that came out in March, there may be over 14,000 estate sale businesses nationwide. I know one of the liquidation franchises has over 150 branches. I think franchises are great for some people, but some of us would not do well if we could not build our own personal brand and set up our own systems and manage things with our unique style.
